What is VZfit?
VZfit is an exercise game for the Oculus Quest that can be played while either standing, or on a stationary bike by pairing with a cadence sensor. It will also connect to a variety of smart bikes. Use the power of VR to motivate you and stay in shape!
Download VZfit today from the Oculus store.
Note: Hardware is not included with your purchase of a VZfit subscription.
What do I need to get started?
To play VZfit in standing mode all you need is an Oculus Quest and a stable internet connection. For information about connected devices likes bikes and sensors, see our article Required and Compatible Devices.
VZPlay does require a connected bike to play.
Do I have to use the Oculus Touch controllers?
We used to sell a special button controller, but it is no longer in production. We now recommend using the Touch controllers when navigating VZfit. There may also be additional functionality that only becomes available to Touch controllers in the future.
How do I get VZfit?
Head over to VZfit on the Oculus store and download the game from there.
Is a membership required?
You can have limited game access with a VZfit Free membership, or full game access with a VZfit Premium membership. Subscription cost will vary depending region. Please check our Meta website to check pricing in your location.

We require you to start the free premium trial which you can then cancel anytime to revert to free membership. The free membership allows unlimited play of a rotating free game in VZplay and ten minutes per day of all game modes in VZfit. You also can’t access events or avatar upgrades in VZplay without a premium membership.
Where can I take it?
VZfit and the Oculus Quest were designed for portability and quick setup. You can get VZfit workouts anywhere you like: your home, gym, office, or hotel. Note that Wifi access is required for VZfit.
Does VZfit require online access?
Both VZfit and VZplay require online access to work, with a minimum recommended bandwidth average of 5 Mbps.
What happened to the bike you sold on Amazon?
We’ve phased those out in order to focus on VZfit. The original VirZOOM Bike can play, at no charge, VZplay and VZfit applications on the Quest with a free lifetime membership.
Do I need a stationary bike for VZfit?
No. With the introduction of Standing mode, VZfit can be played by anyone with an Oculus Quest.
Any recommendations for making my bike more stable?
Yes. We recommend a Kreitler Fork Stand or other such front fork stabilizer for your bike and trainer set up. Steering with head tilt and leaning does not require handle bar movement so a fixed holder is best.
Does VZfit work with ellipticals, rowers and treadmills?
We do not recommend using VZfit with a treadmill as it can be dangerous. A rower can work in standing mode, but may experience some movement difficulties as it is difficult to use the Touch controllers with a rower.
If you can attach a sensor with an adhesive to the disc of your elliptical and it can make a revolution without touching anything, you should be able to use your elliptical in cycling mode without issue.
Does sweat hurt the VR headset?
I own the VZfit Sensor Kit. How often do I need to replace the sensor batteries?
Our speed sensor can be used for 60 continuous hours, which translates into 4 months at 1/2 hour use per day, or 1 month at 2 hours per day. Your account page shows the current sensor battery level, and the VZfit games will show a low-battery warning when it’s low. Our button doesn’t report its battery level but lasts at least as long as our sensor, so we recommend changing it when you change the sensor. The VZfit sensor and button take a CR2032 coin cell battery.
Will VR make me dizzy?
Comfortable VR motion is at the heart of our game technology, but some people need to learn how to be in VR like they learned how to ride a bike. The older you are, the more time you should take to acclimate. We suggest everyone first play our levels marked comfortable, which feature flat terrain and nothing to run into. When they’ve learned how to control their motion and feel good in VR they should try moderate levels with more hills and turning. Only when that feels good should they try intense levels with flying. Our interface drives new players along this path and encourages tutorials before moderate and intense levels.
